How long is the normal Invisalign treatment process?
Our typical treatment time is 12-15 months
How quickly do you see results?
Our patients can start to see their teeth moving after just the first few trays (about 6 weeks)
Is Invisalign an option for all age groups?
We generally treat almost all of our adult patients with Invisalign and some of our mature teenagers
Is the Invisalign program as effective as the regular metal braces system?
Generally speaking, yes. There are some instances where Invisalign is more effective than regular braces and some instances where regular braces are more effective than Invisalign.
Are the Invisalign trays worn 24 hours each day?
Trays can be removed for eating, brushing / flossing, and special occasions…clearly the biggest advantage over regular braces
What is the average cost of the Invisalign treatment?
Most Invisalign cases range from $4000 – $7000 depending on the length of treatment and the complexity of the tooth movement.
Is there any discomfort associated with the Invisalign process?
There is some soreness as the teeth first start to move but this generally lasts for the first day or two. Generally a very comfortable process
Does the Invisalign affect your speech?
Usually not at all.
Is everyone needing braces, a candidate for Invisalign?
Some instances where braces are more effective are patients who have an impacted tooth, a very severe rotation, or a very deep overbite.
How often are office visits necessary?
Every 6-8 weeks
Is it always necessary for Invisalign to be worn on both upper and lower plates?
Yes
Can the Invisalign trays be used with whitening processes as well?
Yes
After the Invisalign process is complete, is there maintenance necessary?
As with all orthodontic patients, retainers are necessary to help maintain the result. Retainers come in many forms and we work with our patients to find a routine that best fits their needs.
